While the open center lugs penetrate deep into wet or soft ground and ensure reliable grip and effective braking power, the large side lugs can withstand even the highest loads in extreme lean angles. Thanks to the 3C MaxxGrip compound, the High Roller III impresses with excellent cornering control, even on hard surfaces.
3C MaxxGrip
The rubber compound that has made MAXXIS tires the reference in MTB downhill racing. 3C MAXXGRIP offers the ultimate grip and the best damping properties for incomparable traction and performance in downhill races.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions from the very first inflation and with little liquid.
Doubledown casing (DD)
DoubleDown tires are constructed like downhill tires: two carcass plies reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, thanks to two fine 120TPI (instead of 60TPI) carcass plies and aramid bead cores, they are significantly lighter than our downhill tires and much more robust than our EXO+ models. The ideal tires for tough enduro courses.
Wide Trail Casing
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and are too angular on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance.
WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
